چکیده

There is an urgent need for CO2 capture development because of the global warming crisis. Recently absorption by mixture monoethanolamine (MEA) and glycerol, as eco-friendly solvent, has been considered due to its promising performance low technical environmental impacts. However, more aspects this process, especially mass transfer coefficients, be studied further. In work, a bench-scale wetted-wall column was used find coefficients in aqueous blends MEA (25 wt%) glycerol (5–20 wt%). The experiments were performed nearly industrial conditions flue gas at atmospheric pressure three different temperatures (313, 323, 333 K). flow rate maintained around 0.17 ± 0.01 stdL/s, partial range 1–15 kPa. findings revealed that increasing 10 wt% improves overall (KG), adding up 20 decreases KG. gas-side resistance (1/kg) found negligible. Thus, primary liquid phase. It also solution with 25 (10G25M) had highest liquid-side coefficient (kg′) among other solutions. 10G25M showed comparable even better than solutions higher concentration literature. Compared industrial-grade, kg′ over two times 30 solution.

Preparation of Graphene-amine Nanofluid for Absorption of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) from a Natural Gas Stream in a Wetted Wall Column

In this study, it was shown that how CO2 and H2S were removed from a natural gas stream, using a nanofluid containing nanoporous graphene in Diehanolamine (DEA). Before running the experiments, the appropriate values were chosen for the nanosheet dosage and the liquid and gas flow rates in the absorption experiments, which were performed in a laboratory scale wetted wall column. In the expe...

CFD Simulation of a Wetted-Wall Column for Natural Gas Sweetening ‎Using DEA Solution

Natural gas usually contains significant amounts of acid gases when it is extracted from underground reservoirs. Therefore, it must be treated by appropriate processes to remove these acidic components. In this study, the simultaneous absorption of carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide from natural gas into diethanol amine solution was simulated using CFD. Absorption process was performed in a we...

Modeling and simulation of a wetted-wall column for SO2 absorption with aqueous ammonia solution

In a wetted-wall column of pilot-scale sulphur dioxide removal efficiencies were measured at 20 and atmospheric pressure with aqueous ammonia solutions. The liquid-phase mass transfer coefficient and gas-phase mass transfer coefficients of the system were determined. Based on the classical two-film theory the mathematical model was built to describe the complex absorption process. Combined with...
